2020 Sarabande Bousigue

Bousigue is the old name of the region where our Mourvédre vineyard is located. It sits on a south-facing, well-drained slope. This is particularly important for the notoriously late-ripening Mourvèdre variety. As Mourvèdre is difficult to grow, this wine is only produced in the best years. The wine is a deep color with pretty nuances of aromas. thyme characters wild and dried meat are also present. The palate is rich and fills the palate with a sweet and long finish exceptional.

Cépages – 80% Mourvedre 20% Syrah
Alcool – 14.5%

Best served with chicken, wild birds, or barbecue meats.

2019 Sarabande Les Espinasses

The 2019 Espinasses was fully fermented in our vineyards in a 1000L open fermenter. It was open to the elements so that the natural yeasts from the vines would ferment the wine. This wine is a deep purple and dark beast. The nose is ripe cassis and plums with hints of liquorice and anise. A charming chary character has also complexed to add a touch of chocolate to the aroma and the palate. The fresh fruit character of the wine lengthens the mouth. Only one barrel was made from this super-concentrated Syrah. We are very satisfied with this wine and think that it truly expresses the unique name of Faugères.

Cépages – 80% Syrah 20% Mourvédre

Serve with grilled red meats or the ripest cheeses.
